About Maniwa
We have many sightseeing spots in Maniwa.
For example, rich nature, hot springs, and historical highroads.
It is a place that has utilized the natural resources of the area to create “Maniwa,” friendly to both people and the environment.
Maniwa is located near the center of the Chugoku Mountains in the northern part of Okayama Prefecture. In the north, part of Daisen-Oki National Park and a range of mountains with an altitude of over 1,000 meters dominates the area, and includes the “Hiruzen Sanza,” allowing for people to enjoy an idyllic view of vast highland regions, such as Tsuguro Highland.
This area has the headstream of the Asahi River, and it flows along the center of the region to the southern part of Okayama Prefecture. There are many sightseeing spots fascinating tourists in the watershed of the Asahi River, including the Yubara Hot Springs and Kanba-no-taki (waterfall).
In the south, a flat fertile land spreads out, forming a stretch of agricultural area in the watershed of the Asahi River.
Within 2 hours and 30 minutes from Osaka, and 20 minutes from each of the surrounding 5 highway interchanges, you can easily reach these must-see-spots!
Both the Chugoku Expressway and the Yonago Expressway pass through Maniwa City. The five interchanges, “Hokubo IC,” “Ochiai IC,” Kuze IC,” “Yubara IC,” and “Hiruzen IC,” are within proximity of the city, allowing for extremely convenient access to a great leisure zone.
