Honrenji Temple

The main hall, Banjin-do hall, and Chumon gate are designated as important cultural properties of the country, and the three-storied pagoda and Soshi-do hall are designated as important cultural properties of the prefecture. It also has a magnificent garden created by Kobori Enshu and many cultural heritage sites, giving it an air of dignity befitting a famous temple where Korean envoys stayed. In October 2017, ``Memories of the Korean Mission'' was registered as a UNESCO Memory of the World Heritage Site.
