Japan, 1-11-19 Kojima Mino, Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture 711-0913

This is the mansion of Nozaki Buzaemon, who opened large-scale salt fields and built the "Salt Farm Kingdom" in the late Edo period. The approximately 3,000 tsubo grounds are lined with a group of main buildings and six earthen storehouses that cover approximately 1,000 tsubo, and tea rooms can be seen throughout the garden, giving us an idea of the power of the time. You can also view materials and history related to the salt fields. There is a salt industry history museum attached, and you can experience salt making for free (reservation required) at the Salt Making Experience Center. *Admission fees are subject to separate regulations.
