Terraced rice fields in Otawa West

The rice terraces of Otakawa Nishi spread out in a 360-degree conical shape throughout the valley at an altitude of 400 meters in Misaki Town. There, you can encounter the beautiful ``original landscape of Japan'' made up of approximately 750 rice terraces (approximately 42.2 ha). It is a spot where you can take photos of a variety of spectacular views throughout the four seasons, including rice planting in early summer, golden scenery and a sea of ​​clouds in autumn, and snowy landscapes in winter. The scenery of the rice terraces bathed in the setting sun is like a painting and captivates visitors. It has also been selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Rice Terraces.
